My dear friend and old college roommate Candace just reminded me that 4 years ago this weekend, we graduated from James Madison University. Cheers to all of my 2008 Dukes, and to the 2012 Dukes getting ready to walk!

Thursday, May 3rd, 2012Sam + Jordan | Harrisonburg Virginia Engagement
Friday, August 26th, 2011They met in the library. Sam asked Jordan a question about the computers. He knew the answer, but he needed an excuse to talk to her. Then he said she looked familiar, “Are you in intervarsity?” he asked. He knew she was. He had seen her before. Many times. Jordan had his attention long before she realized. Sam and Jordan’s relationship started and grew at JMU, which means when they told me they wanted to shoot on campus, I was SO excited. We spent most of our night out on the quad. A typical JMU activity even if you AREN’T taking engagement photos. We had the entire quad to ourselves. No students, bikers, or ultimate frisbee players, just light. Beautiful golden light. I can’t wait until their wedding! J-M-U… Duuuuukes…
I call this my earthquake picture because I was editing this when the ground began to twitch.
Uh oh… the KISSING ROCK
Jen + Josh | Harrisonburg Virginia Wedding
Wednesday, June 15th, 2011“I’m channeling Kate Middleton,” said Jen as we walked in to the music room at Blessed Sacrament in downtown Harrisonburg. I believed her. Because at that moment, it was pouring rain. Thundering. But Jen was all smiles. Probably because she was getting married to her boyfriend and best friend of 9 years. Yes. That must be what it was.
The day began with a frenzy of beautiful girls at a nearby hotel. Soon both the guys and the ladies were at the church waiting and welcoming guests. The rain stopped, and the sun lit up the church just in time for Jen to walk down the aisle. The entire day was filled with laughter, surprises, and rainbows. [Literally. I saw three rainbows.] I am so honored to have been a part of this wedding. It was also nice being able to visit JMU. Jen and Josh, you guys rock!

Even Duke Dog made an appearance!
LOVED the father daughter dance. It started out nice and slow…
And the Soulja Boy came on… and then Billy Jean… and then…
Jen and Josh, thanks so much for an awesome night with so many beautiful moments. You made me feel like part of the family!!
